3 Tips to Playing Garena Free Fire on Tencent Gaming Buddy
Garena Free Fire is available to play on Tencent Gaming Buddy’s Game Center. Free Fire is a fast-paced battle royale game where 50 players compete against each other until only 1 player (or team) survives.
If you’re just getting started on Free Fire, here are a few tips for controls to help you get the most kills out of your matches.
Don’t have Free Fire on Tencent Game Loop yet? No problem. You can play in 3 simple steps.
1. Launch Tencent Game. If you don’t have it installed yet, you can download the emulator for free here:
2. From the Game Center, click on Free Fire.
3. Click on the Install button at the bottom-right corner. When it’s finished downloading and installing, Free Fire will launch automatically.
Now just log in and you’re ready to roll.
1. Changing Sensitivity Levels
From the lobby screen, click on the gears icon on the top-right corner. In the settings, click on the Sensitivity tab. You may want to adjust the sliders for Red Dot, 2x Scope, etc. for your play style, though you might want to start a match or two first before adjusting anything here to know what the default sensitivity levels feel like to you.
In Free Fire you may notice the X-axis (moving the mouse left and right) will feel higher than the Y-axis (moving up and down), so be sure to adjust the game’s sensitivity levels accordingly.
If you have a gaming mouse with the included software (Logitech or Razor for example), you may be able to further adjust DPI and tweak mouse sensitivity there.
2. Decide on Aim Precision
Next to Sensitivity in the settings menu is the Controls tab. Under Game Settings is Aim Precision. You’ll have 3 options: Default, Precise on Scope, and Full Control.
The first option (Default) will add aim assist whenever you fire your weapon at an opponent. This is good for beginners while adjusting to Free Fire’s controls on the mouse and keyboard.
The second option (Precise on Scope) only uses aim assist when using a scope.
The third option (Full Control) removes the aim assist altogether. This option is more useful for sniping headshots especially while using a mouse.
Try switching around between the three options and see which one works best for you with your mouse controls.
3. Adjusting key mapping controls
By default, “Right-Click” will lock/unlock the cursor.
“Q” will use the aim/scope function.
For driving, use the arrow keys to move the vehicle, accelerate, brake, etc.
If you feel uncomfortable with these controls, don’t worry. Free Fire uses Tencent Gaming Buddy’s normal key mapping controls. You can add, remove, and change key mappings to almost anything you feel comfortable with.
Open TGB’s key mapping screen and click on any key icon you wish to change, then input the new key you want to use.
For example, you can change “Right-Click” to “CTRL” to lock/unlock the mouse cursor like it is in PUBG Mobile.
Edit the controls on Tencent Gaming Buddy’s key mapping until you feel comfortable with your play style.
All set? Now it’s time to get out there and own the Free Fire battlefield.
